Product Description

The Emulsion Charging Unit (ECU) Control System is used exclusively with BME's Underground Charging Units, for operational control and monitoring

Application

The ECU control system/controller is used to electronically control and monitor the delivery of emulsion from the charging vehicle to the face/ring and is exclusive to BME’s range of mechanized charging units.

Features

Controller

  • 4" Display Screen/7" Display Screen/12.1" Touch Display Screen, dependent on client's operational requirements
  • Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Connectivity
  • Tablet Integration with real time controller screen mirroring
  • On-Board Internal Storage for Operational Data

Safety System

  • Hydraulic High Pressure Warning and Trip
  • Hydraulic High Temperature Warning and Trip
  • Emulsion High Pressure Warning and Trip

Control System Monitoring

  • Individual Pump Emulsion Pressure monitoring
  • Complete Emulsion Pumping Pressure monitoring
  • Individual Pump Lubrication Pressure monitoring
  • Individual Pump Gassing Pressure monitoring
  • Pumping/flushing-mode indications
  • Hose Pusher Slippage warning
  • System sensors and transducer fault warnings
  • Emulsion-, Gassing- and Water Tank Level monitoring
  • High- and Low Density Switch Indication (if applicable)
  • Hydraulic Pressure monitoring
  • Hydraulic Temperature monitoring
  • On-Board Diagnostic Page for Automated System Troubleshooting

System Data Log

Operational data is logged by the control system and is stored on-board the controller that can be downloaded via a flash-drive, alternatively BME offers a cloud-based dashboard for live reporting on the Charging Unit.

Data logged by the control system:

  • Emulsion mass pumped per hole
  • Emulsion mass pumped per face/ring
  • System trips and warnings
  • System run-time, both pumps and valve bank
  • Controller Active Logs
  • Hose Depth (applicable to Up-Hole operations)
  • Multi-Priming Data (applicable to Up-Hole operations)
  • System flushing-, pumping-, troubleshooting- and sampling masses
  • Tank levels (applicable to tank level switches as well as real-time tank level monitoring)

Guidelines for Use

System Usage

The ECU control system is powered from the vehicle battery and the controller is mounted on the vehicle, most convenient for the operators. The controller can be used to control and monitor charging units applicable to both Development and Up-Hole charging operations.

The control system monitors system conditions both for safety and operational purposes. Operational variables such as Stope ID's, Ring/Face ID's, hole numbers, pumping pressures etc. are displayed on the controller. Operational variables, on the control system, can be adjusted to ensure the charging system compliments the client's operational requirements.

Safe Use

  • Never fight explosive fires.
  • Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for first aid information.
  • All explosives must be transported and stored in accordance to relevant regulations.
  • All explosives are classified as dangerous goods and may cause damage to property, personal harm, or death, if not used correctly.
  • Always keep products away from sources of heat, sparks, flame or hot surfaces and avoid mixing with combustibles or incompatible materials.
