Product Description

Viperdet Connector non-electric detonator assemblies consist of a short length of shock tube with a high strength detonator housed in a color-coded connector on each end.

Application

Viperdet Connectors are used to delay detonating cord trunklines.

Viperdet Connectors must not be used in flammable environments such as methane or coal dust.

Viperdet non-electric detonators are safe against extraneous electric currents except lightning.

Features

Detonators: Bi-directional surface connectors with high strength detonator for reliable two-path initiation of the detonating cord trunklines.

Shock tube: The shock tube is resistant to abrasion under normal use conditions.

Label tag: Water resistant. Laser printing provides clear and smudge resistant timing and product information.

Connector: Plastic, colour-coded blocks to distinguish different delay periods.

Delay timing: Available in multiple delays.

Guidelines for Use

Priming and Initiation

Check detonating cord and block orientation before firing. Correct loops, kinks, or sharp angles in the detonating cord to Viperdet Connector tie-up that may result in cross-over, acute angle, shrapnel cutoff, or other detonating cord failures.

To prevent a snap, slap, and shoot incident (unexpected detonation) never pull or stretch non-electric shock tube to the point of breaking.

Handling and Storage

All explosives must be transported and stored in accordance with relevant local, state and federal regulations.

Viperdet Connector shelf life is 36 months when stored in the original packaging, under dry conditions and moderate temperate, and in a well ventilated and approved magazine.
