Innopak RG is a packaged detonator sensitive emulsion for use in reactive ground. Innopak RG is a wax-based, perchlorate-free emulsion that is solid sensitized for an increased level of resistance to excess shock from adjacent blast holes.
Innopak RG is designed for use in surface and underground applications where reactive ground conditions are present. The water-resistant characteristics of the Innopak RG make it suitable for use in small-diameter wet holes.

Product | Density (g/cc) | Relative Weight Strength (RWS) | Relative Bulk Strength (RBS) |
Innopak RG | 1.20 | 108 | 162 |
Velocity of Detonation (VOD): 4000 m/s to 6300 m/s (13,100 ft/s to 20,700 ft/s) dependent on application, diameter, confinement and density.
RWS and RBS calculated with ANFO density 0.80 g/cc and effective energy 2.260 kJ/kg.
Innopak RG cartridge emulsion is compatible with most non-electric and electronic detonator systems and is reliably initiated with detonators assembled with high strength detonators (No. 8 strength or greater base charge).
Do not attempt to initiate Innopak RG with No. 6 strength fuse caps.
Consult with a BME Technical Representative for use with detonating cord and additional priming and initiation guidance.
Maximum hole depth depends on product selection, hole diameter, product densities, and the presence of water. Please contact a BME Technical Representative for additional guidance.
This product may be used in ground temperatures from -15C° (5F°) to a maximum of 65C° (150°F). If the application requires use outside this temperature range please contact a BME Technical Representative for additional guidance.
This product is specifically formulated for use in reactive ground. Reactive ground is typically characterised by the presence of sulphide mineralization. If the application requires use in known reactive ground, or in untested sulphide bearing ground, please contact a BME Technical Specialist for additional guidance.
The safe loading window and in hole sleep time for Innovex RG is site specific. The site specific sleep time is determined by isothermal reactive ground testing at a BME laboratory. It is also dependent on factors such as hole diameter, density, ground water conditions and initiation system. Please consult with a BME Technical Representative for guidance.
All explosives must be transported and stored in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Innopak products should be kept at temperatures between –15°C (5°F) and 55°C (131°F) prior to initiation.
Shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacturing and when stored at temperature conditions between –20°C (–4°F) and 40°C (104°F).
Innopak RG is available in a wide variety of lengths and diameters.
Loading density is ideal for sinking in wet holes.

All explosives are classified as dangerous goods and may cause damage to property, personal harm, or death, if not used correctly. Risk of explosion by shock, friction, fire, or other ignition sources. Classified as hazardous substance, dangerous goods with mass-explosion hazard. Stable under normal storage conditions.
Temperatures above 65°C (150°F) can be hazardous.
Never load a borehole containing hot or burning material.
