Product Description

Innovex X range consists of heavy ANFO bulk products that are a blend of ammonium nitrate and a high energy emulsion.

Application

Innovex X products are suitable for loading into dry and dewatered blast-holes where movement of rock and optimum fragmentation are desired.

Primary Benefits

Innovex X products offer productive auger delivery and high blasthole loading efficiency. The high-density emulsion may be loaded at varying densities to achieve energies that optimize fragmentation distribution, and the formulations deliver high heave results as compared with the conventional Heavy ANFO products, thereby reducing the total cost of mining.

  1. Energy values and relative strengths are calculated using ideal detonation modelling (for reference, ANFO = 2.26MJ/kg).
  2. Velocity of Detonation (VoD) values are approximate only and may vary according to site conditions.
  3. Product density values are indicative only and may vary according to component density, charge length and site conditions.

Guidelines for Use

Please contact your BME Australia technical representative for use of Innovex X in dewatered blastholes.

Priming and Initiation

Innovex X products may be used in blast holes up to 45 metres in depth with the minimum primer recommended for use is a 400g cast booster. Maximum hole depth depends on product selection, hole diameter, product densities, critical void space and the presence of water. Please contact a BME Technical Representative for additional guidance.

Ground Temperature

Innovex X products may be used in ground temperatures from 0° to a maximum of 55°C. If the application requires use outside of this temperature range, please contact a BME Technical Representative for additional guidance.

Reactive Ground

Innovex X products are not formulated for use in reactive ground, according to the AEISG Code of Practice for Elevated Temperature and Reactive Ground. Reactive ground is typically characterised by the presence of sulphide mineralization. If the application requires use in known reactive ground, or in untested sulphide bearing ground, please contact a BME Technical Representative for additional guidance.

Sleep Time

The recommended maximum sleep time for Innovex X products is 28 days. Sleep time is dependent on factors such as hole diameter, product density, confinement, ground water conditions and initiation system. If the application requires longer in-hole sleep time, please consult with a BME Technical Representative for guidance.
