Product Description

BME's Compact Charging Unit (CCU) is a compact unit, compatible with Innovex UG, for use with underground mobile vehicles.

Application

The CCU was developed as a small-scale ECU (Emulsion Charging Unit), for the use in underground development areas. The CCU is typically mounted to a vehicle with a carrying capacity below 1 ton.

Guidelines for Use

System Usage

The CCU is fitted with BME's patented MP2 Pump for safe and efficient emulsion pumping as well as BME's pump control system for system monitoring as well as data collection for pre- and post blast analyses.

The system is fitted with a multi-level safety system that allows safe pumping operations for end users.

Product Specifications

  • Emulsion tank capacity: Adapted for vehicle limitations/capacity.
  • Sensitiser tank capacity: Adapted for Emulsion tank capacity.
  • Water tank capacity: Adapted for Emulsion tank capacity.
  • Pumping rate:
    • Single Pump - 45 kg/min (99 lbs/min).
    • Dual Pump - 85 kg/min (187 lbs/min).
  • Max. hose length: 15 m (50 ft) ¾-inch diameter HDPE.
  • Compatible emulsions: INNOVEX UG Emulsions.
  • Compatible with BME's Emulsion Charging Unit Control System.
  • Pre-set mass of emulsion/hole.

Safe Use

  • Never fight explosive fires.
  • Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for first aid information.
  • All explosives must be transported and stored in accordance to relevant regulations.
  • All explosives are classified as dangerous goods and may cause damage to property, personal harm, or death, if not used correctly.
  • Always keep products away from sources of heat, sparks, flame or hot surfaces and avoid mixing with combustibles or incompatible materials.
